RUMOR: Tomas Maier and Caroline Herrera for H&M??

Earlier this month I reported about a rumor that H&M’s designer collaboration might be Taiwanese fashion house, Shiatzy Chen, but today that rumor seems to have been cleared. Shiatzy Chen will not be the designer collaboration launching in November, although H&M’s wikipedia page still states that the brand will be the next designer collaboration, I think it’s more like a capsule collection like what they did with Kylie Minogue and Madonna. If it is, it’s quite interesting because “Rosie Huntington-Whiteley and David Gandy will appear in print ads and TV campaigns for the Shiatzy Chen for H&M collection and it will be shot by Nick Knight.” Sounds pretty cool, we’ll just have to patiently wait till it’s confirmed by H&M!

This morning I got a link on my Facebook page linking to a new H&M teaser video about the new designer collaboration for November, many people have speculated that the designer will be Tomas Maier, a German-born designer who is currently Head of Creative Design at Bottega Veneta. But then H&M throws you off with another video making you guess who the designer is by featuring a woman! Some have confidently pinpointed the woman as Caroline Herrera?. Me? I’m not sure. Perhaps there’s two designer collections, one for women and one for men?! I’m just confused now, this guessing game is good! On September 9th, the next designer collaboration will be announced. I can’t wait to find out!
