Near the end of NYFW, it landed on September 11, a day that will never be forgotten. After all the activities I’ve attended I took a moment to capture the light beam that was placed next to the site of the World Trade Center to create two vertical columns of light in remembrance of the September 11 attacks. The Tribute in Light has been repeated every year on September 11, the light beam shuts off at exactly 12am on 9/12. Thankful to be still standing.
Earlier in the day I’ve attended the Maison Martin Margiela x Converse luncheon, Jeremy Scott fashion show, Daniel Arsham x Pharrell event (photos from earlier that day coming soon) and Maison Martin Margiela x Converse party. It was definitely a fun filled day. More photos from the MMM x Converse party after the jump…

Hope you got inspired! More photos and videos after the jump…
New York Fashion Week is over and now it’s all about catching up with everything. I’ll be posting some recaps from the parties I attended along with fashion shows and presentations. For those that are anticipating the launch of the 3.1 Phillip Lim for Target collection like myself, here’s what went down at the private shopping event on September 5th. I didn’t end up buying anything, it was really hard since everyone was trying to get a piece of it and line to pay was ridiculously long. I definitely want to get my hands on a few pieces but I’ll just have to wait till the launch on target.com on September 15th.
Designer Phillip Lim, Jessica Alba, Solange Knowles, Emile Hirsch, Maria Sharapova and more celebrated with a private shopping event before the collection launches at Spring Studios. The event also featured the reveal of “STYLESCAPE,” a larger-than-life interactive photography display that showcased the limited-edition collection as worn by style tastemakers across the U.S. and Canada. Pretty interesting. More photos from the event after the jump…
For those that can’t make it to the Marc by Marc Jacobs Spring 2014 fashion show, take your front row seat as you’ll be able to watch the livestreaming at the comfort of your home! Enjoy!
Marc by Marc Jacobs Spring 2014
Last night Stacey Bendet presented her Spring 2014 collection for alice + olivia at Highline Stages in NYC. This season’s collection is “at the crossroads of prep-meets-pretty – a romantic twist on American sportswear.” You can always expect pretty dresses and cute tops from Stacey. For SS14, I’ve been seeing lots of whites on the runway and I expect to see more. The collection was built around neutrals accented by pops of pastel; pink, aqua, yellow and silver complement nude, bone, black and white. And looks like the crop tops aren’t going anywhere, they’re seen everywhere on the runway once again.
alice + olivia’s collection always makes me happy, the collection is so flirty and girlie- love it! Leave it to Stacey to bring the gurlie side of you out! More photos after the jump…
