Vans x Leila Hurst Summer 2014 Collection

Vans is launching a new summer collection with surf team rider Leila Hurst on the release of her first-ever head-to-toe women’s collection at the Vans US Open of Surfing. The full collection of women’s apparel and footwear was inspired by Leila’s favorite silhouettes from her own closet and inspiration from surf trips across the globe.

The collection’s color palette ranges from warm red, orange to yellow pops of colors in a custom vintage floral print. Highlights from the collection includes racerback and strappy tanks, pull-on knit shorts with side-tie details and a tiered summer dress. Footwear includes the new Tazie surfsider, classic Authentic Slim and Malta sandal.

The Vans Leila Hurst collection ranges from $17 – $50 and will be sold during the Vans US Open of Surfing in Huntington Beach at the Vans Retail store on the sand as well as HSS and Jack’s. If you’re not in Surf City you can find the collection at Vans Retail stores, Vans.com and Coastal Edge.

Sasa – Asia’s One Stop Beauty Shop!

Sasa Asias One Stop Beauty Shop!

How many of you guys are obsessed with skincare products? I am! I’m sure you all have your favorite products in this category, I do too, but I’m always up for trying out new brands/products.

Are any of you guys familiar with Sasa? Sasa is the leading beauty player in Asia operating in Hong Kong, Macau, Mainland China, Singapore, Malaysia, Taiwan and recently America and Australia. With a total of over 200 stores and over 600 beauty brands, the company extended their e-commerce business to the US. Lucky us! I remember when I used to ask my friends to bring me back stuff from Sasa HK whenever they go on a trip, now I can just order on sasa.com.

My first encounter with Sasa was when I first visited Hong Kong. There are stores literally on every block of the shopping areas in HK. And every store is jammed packed all the time but especially during lunch time and after work hours! I used to spend hours in the store racking up beauty products that I have never seen before. I personally love Sasa because there are a ton of brands to choose from, some of which I’ve never even heard of from Korea, Japan and Taiwan to name a few. Their price range is fare as well, there’s a variety from affordable to expensive. There’s something for everyone (even babies). My last trip to HK I picked up so many boxes of masks, I’m addicted to masks.

Many of my friends are currently raving about Korean beauty brands so they got me into it too. Aside from all my favorites from the US, I am going to try: Suisse Programme, Banila Co, Methode Swiss, Sulwhasoo and Sasatinnie. Have you tried any of these brands? If yes, which products?

Cara Delevingne for Topshop Autumn/Winter 2014 Campaign

Cara Delevingne for Topshop Autumn/Winter 2014 Campaign

I love looking at Cara Delevingne’s face, she’s got a very “strong” look and not to mention she makes everything look so good on! Topshop has tapped Cara as their new face for its Autumn/Winter 2014 campaign, shot by renowned photographer Alasdair McLellan and styled by Topshop Creative Director Kate Phelan. The campaign was shot in London featuring Cara wearing key looks from the new collection.

The Autumn/Winter collection speaks to the diverse and experimental style of a Topshop girl as hero pieces with go-anywhere appeal take centre stage. Starring alongside Topshop icons, the biker jacket, the Jamie jean, the Martha parka, Cara effortlessly personifies London style. Evening wear is re-worked as modern fabrications and astute tailoring play with the concepts of smart/casual dressing and urban sophistication; the statement sequin and feather cocktail dress worn by Cara epitomizes this look.
