TIDAL Launch Event

If you follow me on Instagram (@nitro_licious) and Snapchat (@nitro_licious) you already know that I was at the star-studded TIDAL launch event at Skylight at Moynihan Station yesterday. Seriously how often would you see Rihanna, Usher, Nicki Minaj, Madonna, Kanye West, Jay-Z, Beyoncé, Daft Punk, Alicia Keys and more co-owning something together?

TIDAL is an artist majority owned company with a mission to reestablish the value of music and protect the sustainability of the music industry rooted in creativity and expression. As part of our vision to introduce change to the current system, we will continue expanding this platform into an all-encompassing destination in the coming months. We are working diligently everyday to enhance the overall service.

Today, the site incorporates high quality sound, video and exclusive editorial, but there are more features on the way. In time, TIDAL will not just be a streaming service but an immersive platform with enhanced experiences. With TIDAL we are making a commitment to build a platform that reflects ideas contributed directly from artists, providing an enriched experience. Music presented and heard the way the artists intended.

I personally don’t really like to download music, so streaming music and being able to access it offline (when I’m in the subway) and on any phone is important. I can’t wait to try TIDAL!

Zhou Xun Visits H&M Headquarters in Support of Sustainable Fashion

Zhou Xun, renowned Chinese actress and National Goodwill Ambassador, visited H&M headquarters in Stockholm to speak with Ann-Sofie Johansson, H&M Creative Advisor, and Caterina Midby, Head of Fashion and Sustainability about the design, inspiration and use of sustainable materials in this year’s Conscious Exclusive Collection.

Every season, the complete design process, from color selection to the choice of fabric, takes place in H&M’s White Room. This season the collection was influenced by amazing images of bird prints specially hand drawn by H&M’s in-house designers. Individual pieces stand on their own rather than exist in one look and all the pieces in the collection are made with more sustainable materials.

H&M releases a Sustainability Report on an annual basis in the hopes of increasing the awareness of sustainable fashion. The Conscious Exclusive collection will be available in more than 200 H&M stores and online starting April 16th.
