H&M Debuts at MET Gala 2015

Last night was all about the Metropolitan Museum of Art Costume Institute Benefit 2015 aka Met Gala, this year’s exhibition theme was, “China: Through the Looking Glass”. H&M makes its debut to the Met Gala this year collaborating with committee member, fashion icon Sarah Jessica Parker on her custom-made gown. And in honor of their first time taking a table adorned celebrity guests in custom H&M looks including Vanessa Hudgens, Janelle Monáe, Banks, and Odell Beckham Jr.

Inspired by this year’s exhibition theme, H&M’s design team created one-of-a-kind looks in collaboration with each of its guests. The designs honor each individual’s unique personal style and features intricate detailing such as hand done beading and embroideries. Keeping with the theme, design elements such as pleating inspired by the folds of a fan highlight the depth of H&M’s high-fashion design capabilities while still maintaining their position as one of the world’s leading retailers.

Pretty impressive line-up of celebrities for H&M’s first Met Gala right? Loved that they worked with one of fashion’s most influential style icons of our time, Sarah Jessica Parker to create her look for this year’s gala. Sarah Jessica wore a one-shouldered black silk dress, which she designed in collaboration with H&M, with a draped train embroidered with Scarlet poppies. The dress also included a patch work panel, made of sustainable fabric and embellishments, highlighting H&M’s vision of making fashion sustainable and sustainability fashionable. Her head piece by Philip Treacy turned lots of heads too, amazing.

Rihanna x PUMA Ad Campaign – First Look

Following the announcement as PUMA’s new creative director for the Women’s Training category in December, Rihanna has been seen repping the brand hard on her Instagram as the brand’s global ambassador. Last week the German sporting goods brand debuted its first “Forever Faster” ad campaign via Twitter featuring the singer in a black-and-white shot wearing a cropped sweatshirt, skintight leggings branded with PUMA’s signature patterns, and the new Pulse XT trainers. Though the extent of her creative direction is unclear, her presence with the brand is sure to gain a lot of extra attention, especially for a broader less-sneaker centric audience. Excited to see more!

Topshop x adidas Originals Spring/Summer 2015 Collection

Topshop and adidas Originals have teamed up once again to launch an exclusive capsule collection for Spring/Summer 2015. The seven-piece collection is a perfect combination of street style and rich sport heritage featuring bold graphic numbers on classic adidas Originals silhouettes. Items include the Superstar Track Jacket, Superstar 80s sneakers, side stripe track pants and shorts, and an over-sized adidas Originals Trefoil logo T-shirt.
