OBEY Clothing collaborated with NYC-based designer, Abby Moriarty of Catbreath to create a limited edition capsule collection based on the marriage of the street sensibility of OBEY and Abby’s trademark handsome, smart and chic knitwear style.
The 7-piece collection focuses on circular knits which are second skin pieces that are specifically colored in a crystal dye process. The two graphic tees are dedicated to Catbreath’s design philosophy one with clean lines and a stark black and white pallet while the other is a photo taken by OBEY Clothing women’s designer Erin Wignall on the eve of her 30th birthday under the Brooklyn bridge. The collection would not be complete without a signature piece of knitwear, a shaggy, fringed cardigan that was inspired by her summer in Ireland and the sheep that constantly blocked the roadways, shaggy and not the least bit annoying. The collection is scheduled to release on Wednesday, December 9th, and will be available online at the OBEY Shop.
