James Franco x Gucci Techno Color Sunglasses Film + Collection

Thursday, April 17, 2014 by Wendy Lam

Gucci and James Franco has partnered on a launch video for the new Techno Color Sunglasses Spring/Summer 2014 collection for men and women. The video was directed by James Franco, who also stars in the short film along with model Natali Bonifacci. The film set took place at the legendary Chateau Marmont in Los Angeles, featuring a charming game of seduction between Franco and Bonifacci, with their eyes subtly intensified by the vivid shades of Gucci Techno Color sunglasses.

The Gucci Techno Color eyewear capsule collection is a blend of sensuality and lightness, with a glam twist. Its linear and pure design is the result of a technology patented in the Eighties by Safilo Group and reinterpreted today in a new, lighter-than-ever version, enhanced by vibrant exotic colors: the utmost expression of the House’s fashion authority and technical expertise.

The Gucci Techno Color sunglasses collection is available at Gucci boutiques, gucci.com and select high-end opticians worldwide. Check out the video and collection after the jump…

The classic pilot-shaped unisex sunglasses also feature an extremely lightweight and slim steel structure combining a masculine allure with a modern bright colour palette. As with the sunglasses for women, all the lenses feature a distinctive mirrored blue reflective effect. Colour combinations are: yellow lenses with a dark ruthenium frame, lilac lenses with a red gold frame, green lenses with a ruthenium frame, orange lenses with a dark ruthenium frame, brown lenses with a gold frame, and smoke lenses with a dark ruthenium frame.
The Gucci logo is printed on the lenses and subtly engraved on the ultra-slim temples.
