According to WWD, J Brand tapped Los Angeles designer Henry Duarte to create three low-rise skinny jeans styles inspired by David Bowie’s “Ziggy Stardust” album. The three styles includes: “The Raygun style, in indigo with a shiny spray tint wash, features exposed zippers with custom pulls and seaming and topstitching with a Space Age feel. The Ziggy has handmade hardware, zipper accents and a soft black wash. The Suffragette is a take on Duarte’s signature lace-up front jeans with a pigment rub wash.” The collection is slated to launch in US stores including Barneys New York, Bergdorf Goodman, Intermix and Ron Herman in December 2009 and select specialty stores worldwide including Selfridges and Harvey Nichols early next year and will retail for about $250.
From the sketches they look good, I await to see how the final product looks.
