Old-School Barbershop Meets Cultural Hub as Frank151 Launches Frank’s Chop Shop
-Frank’s Chop Shop Unveils its First Offering for the Modern Gentleman of Leisure with Cuts, Shaves and Caps-

Frank151, a New York based global media platform, has implemented a twist to the old-fashioned trip down memory lane – Frank’s Chop Shop (FCS), a new concept fusing a full-service traditional barbershop with a destination boutique for the hip and contemporary gentleman, will open its doors in the LoHo area of Manhattan this month. Catering to the Modern Gentleman of Leisure, Frank’s Chop Shop will become more than a unique service and retail endeavor by creating a cultural hub and community forum for the modern man. The barbershop will feature high-end grooming services, from cuts and shape ups to straight edge razor shaves, in three 1930’s vintage barber chairs. Frank151 will use this new space as an innovative environment for gentlemen to read the latest issues of the Frank Book, chop it up with friends and associates, drink shots of the FCS exclusive espresso blend, and purchase high end custom grooming products, caps, accessories, and other products catering to their lifestyle, all while receiving impeccable service from those skilled in the art of barbering.

Frank151 has physically connected the editorial headquarters of the Frank Book with the location of the Chop Shop. The combination of both retail and editorial spaces offers a destination for their clients and readers to experience the essence of Frank – a focus on the progressive aspects of popular culture globally. The Frank Book, a pocket-sized publication, intends to represent the voices of today’s trendsetting youth; the launch of Frank’s Chop Shop simply gives their audience a location to experience and take part in the Frank lifestyle. The Chop Shop will become the meeting place for the modern gentleman of leisure and attract future generations of youth who seek to base their lifestyle on the progression of culture on a global level.

“We are very excited about building this one-stop destination for the Frank community to drop by, get a shape-up, catch up on the latest Frank news, and hang out with the guys,” said Frank Green, Editor in Chief of the Frank Book. “The Chop Shop will bring wide-spread attention to the global urban culture that Frank151 has worked to nurture and proudly represents, as well as create a dynamic space for Frank followers to come together as a community.”

Frank151 has chosen 19 Essex, at the border of New York’s legendary Lower East Side and Chinatown (LoHo), as the location for Frank’s Chop Shop. Placed in one of Manhattan’s most buzz-worthy neighborhoods, the Chop Shop will have the opportunity to create a cultural center amongst the building momentum of New York’s top restaurants and shops. FCS will also feature custom designed Limited Edition New Era Hats that derive from a history filled with passion, integrity, and pride. Frank’s Chop Shop looks to maintain the culture and atmosphere of this historic area of Manhattan, while emerging as New York’s next hotspot for both trendsetting and old-fashioned gentleman’s style.
