On Chinese New Year I celebrated the New Year with Vivienne Tam as she showed her Fall 2013 runway show that day. Her new collection is about cultural dialogue, change and awakenings. Vivienne says she was inspired by the conceptual underpinnings of the punk movement and the premise of Pop art. Models strolled down the runway in vibrant hues of red, white and black with pops of electric blue accents and graffiti prints of Mao’s writings and other mantras. Love the military and houndstooth looks. Definitely need the army green parka, so good!
I love Vivienne, her collection is always a great fusion of East meets West. Check out the collection after the jump…
