Evisu CEO and Creative Director Scott Morrison has tapped talented young designer Catherine Holstein to design the brand’s first women’s clothing collection for the US market. This collection embraces Evisu’s ethos and tradition of using connoisseur-quality materials, as well as Japanese design techniques and inspiration. See attached images.
Evisu’s women’s sportswear line consists of dresses, wovens, knits, hats, outwear, t-shirts and pants; and embodies Japanese construction techniques, soft drapery and asymmetrical design. Pieces are made in soft, boiled wool, luxurious silk and organic cotton convey wearability, featuring details like dropped necklines, giant lapels and boyfriend button downs add a touch of whimsy.
The Evisu women’s denim line, designed by Ben Smith (formerly of Helmut Lang, Rag & Bone, and Earnest Sewn) and launched for Spring 2010, is currently available at select retailers nationwide including Fred Segal, Kitson, Ron Herman and Henry Lehr.
