me & DJ AM in 2007
It’s a sad Friday, rainy and gloomy, didn’t think it was that bad until I checked my Twitter and saw that DJ AM passed away today. It’s shocking and surreal, this year we’ve already been sadden too many times by the the passing of Michael Jackson and Farrah Fawcett, now we lose a great DJ, Adam Goldstein.
According to NYP, DJ AM was found dead this morning in an apartment on Lafayette Street in Manhattan. Sources said drug paraphernalia was found in the apartment and cops are looking into whether it was an overdose. It’s sad, nearly a year ago, he escaped a plane crash in South Carolina which was a miracle. His last appearance was 3 days ago at the New York Mets vs. Philadelphia Phillies game on August 23rd at Citi Field in New York to throw out the first pitch. His last words on Twitter was also 3 days ago, “New york, new york. Big city of dreams, but everything in new york aint always what it seems.”
