H&M has video of Matthew Williamson talking about his collaboration with H&M, the video features a few key looks from the line and he also talks about his inspirations for the capsule collection, Margareta van de Bosch (Creative Advisor H&M) also talks about her thoughts as well.
Williamson explains that the main inspiration for the collection is looking back at the past 11 years of work that he’s done in his main line brand and to really look at the pieces that he felt were iconic and special and memorable in some way. It’s really pulling on the strengths of what he’s really become known for as a designer. The exclusive women’s collection is set to hit selected stores on April 23, 2009, followed by another Summer range for women and men from mid-May. An H&M spokeswoman said the “exclusive” women’s range would be carried in about 200 stores, with the second delivery slated for all of its 1,700 stores.
