Last month, I was invited to the Kipling showroom to check out their latest Spring 2009 Collection. Before going I wasn’t really sure what to expect since I haven’t been keeping up with Kipling, but to my surprise they’ve renewed and revamped for the spring season. The new collection accommodates to every women and is still very affordable with several new and signature categories: Hip Collection, City Collection, G*rilla Girlz Collection, Basic/If Collection and their new leather collection.
The spring collection launches on February and will be available at www.kipling-usa.com; Kipling stores in Miami, Fla.; Garden City, N.Y.; Rockaway, N.J.; San Francisco, C.A.; and Los Angeles, C.A.; in addition to Macy’s and Dillard’s department stores and other fine retailers throughout the country.
The new Hip Collection is quite cute, love the bright colors and crinkled patent leather. The luggage pieces in the Basic/If Collection are great for traveling as well. What are your thoughts about the spring 2009 collection?

Designed for rule-breakers, color connoisseurs and cool kids alike, the Hip™ collection brings a feisty, edgy look to the Kipling® brand. Eye-catching, rich hues of Midnight, Kelly Green, Ivory, and Papaya patent stand out on the new Arlene, Fara, Claire, and Katia silhouettes. Impeccable detailing and silvery accents adorn the bags from top to bottom, while the signature Kipling monkey is sporting a shiny, silver look designed specially for the Hip™ collection. New spring silhouettes include the Arlene, a petite shoulder-strap handbag that slyly converts into the perfect going-out clutch, and the Katia, an unapologetically oversized domed satchel with two big front pockets and double straps. The Hip collection is scheduled for availability in March, suggested retail prices for the spring 2009 Hip™ collection range from $68 to $138.
