The Scene
Windows that open to the street beckon serious diners to the burly wooden door of this three-floor brownstone. Just beyond the sleek entry-level bar hides a sunken garden patio surrounded by climbing vines; above is a dining room fitted with wooden church pews; and exposed beams and wrought iron decorate throughout. One-named chef Chino continues the New American fusion of departed Zak Pellacio. Green curry tricks out “Bobo’s Farm Chicken,” tempura chives accompany poached lobster and jalapeno heats up risotto. – Citysearch
Went to brunch with Ada two months back at the Meat Packing District, we were suppose to be headed to florent but when we passed by 5 Ninth we were lured inside. The restaurant was very cozy and antique looking, we both liked the ambiance a lot so we decided to stay to eat. The food was amazing and the portions are perfect, not too much not too lil, just the right amount. Everything was on point, we’d definitely go back there to try dinner too. The menu has changed since we went so I don’t know the names of my dishes haha…
More pics after the jump…
Me: Steak & Eggs – superb!
Ada: Forgot what she ate but she was raving about it…
