Yesterday I was invited to the opening of the Beats By Dr. Dre SoHo Holiday 2011 pop-up store for a walk-through. I was quite excited since I’m a fan of Beats and it is also the first stand alone retail space for the Beats by Dr. Dre brand. The retail location is located in the heart of SoHo and is conveniently across the street from the Apple store which is perfect for when you’re waiting around the Genius Bar or if you need new headphones you can walk across.
Inside the store, there are different stations equipped with Beats headphones attached to a HTC Sensation XL for you to test out the sounds. There is also a boombox room which is soundproofed for you to play music and not be disturbed by outside noise, I found that pretty amazing. There are also limited edition headphones exclusive to the SoHo store and artist creations too. Oh and if you want to match your headphones with your outfit, there’s tees as well. Last but not a VIP room in the back decked out by Fendi for when Dr. Dre wants to come around to chill! Overall a pretty dope spot, the pop-up store will be until until January 15th, stop by!
