While in Vegas for Project, I stopped by California-based footwear brand, Tsubo‘s booth to check out their collaboration with Timo Weiland. I didn’t know what to expect because I wasn’t too familiar with Tsubo but I was not disappointed, I actually quite like the collection. The 7-piece capsule collection of women’s footwear for Spring 2012 features three styles, including a flatform and two military-inspired demi-wedges. The partnership stemmed from Tsubo’s “the New Creatives” initiative, which sets out to work with emerging design talent to push the boundaries of footwear design, technology and style. The collection also consists of a series of one-of-a-kind styles debuting at the Timo Weiland New York Fashion Week runway show this month.
I was told that the buckle detail on the shoes were inspired by party wristbands, cute right? My friend that wears Tsubo tells me that the shoes are really comfortable and plus the styles are pretty cute. I can’t wait for the release of the collection.
