Last night was a busy night of event hopping and it had to rain hard, almost decided to stay home! First stop was to Gramercy Park Hotel for the Walt Disney Signature Designer Accessories Collection (post to come) featuring designs By Hayden-Harnett, nOir and Robin Rotenier. The collections are amazing, can’t wait to show you all!
Next stop was to Kenmare for Hudson Jeans‘ spring 2011 preview and to celebrate the launch of Hudson’s first-ever e-commerce site. Previewed a small selection of spring 2011 pieces and learned that Georgia May Jagger collaborated with Hudson for a capsule collection slated to release February 2011 (more on this later). There were crazy lamb chops (too scary to eat) and super yummy grilled lobster tails which was my dinner haha. Some cool stuff coming for spring, can’t wait to see the full collection!
The night was still young so I stopped by the Hennessy Artistry 2010 event at Cipriani Wall Street, the event space is sick. Special performances by co-curators Q-Tip and The Roots, Daniel Merriweather, Mike Posner, Ronald Isley, Eve, Erykah Badu, Mary J. Blige and Bobby Brown covering their biggest hits. Hennessy has also given the curators the opportunity to associate with design artists and express themselves around the emblematic V.S bottle. A total of five creations will be presented at Halo but the bottle will not be commercially available. Only a handful will be manufactured and later auctioned for charity.
