The Moncler Grenoble Fall 2010 presentation was one of the coolest presentations I’ve been to so far. And they also gave the best fashion week swag, a thermos filled with hot chocolate to warm us up. It was a brilliant idea to have 100 models staged on a scaffold at Chelsea Piers to show that Moncler jackets can withstand the wind chills from the Hudson River. They were constantly switching out models to insure they don’t freeze to death or pass out but the scene was worth it, it was truly amazing.
Moncler Grenoble which takes its name from the French village where the brand originated in 1952, debuts its first collection in New York, a collection for men and women which ranges from ski and technical styles to pieces that are chic for the city. The close-fitting silhouette of the jackets adhere to the figure and the color chart has been updated, adding a series of shades in very delicate hues, to the time-honored flannel greys. Totally loving the bubble cape jacket and bubble shorts so fresh!
