Kidrobot has teamed up with Playboy to create two vinyl figurines that are slated to release this October. Collaborating with legendary comic artist, Paul Pope, they pay tribute to Playboy’s November 1978 cover girl, Monique St. Pierre, in a 7.5-inch vinyl figurine. This blondie’s thigh-high boots, cowl neck sweater and Farrah Fawcett locks are a throwback to the good old days of disco. Pope selected this cover from the Playboy archives because of her “radical pose” and her “strong and alluring attitude,” not to mention her “rad boots.” Kidrobot has also partnered with Berlin based pixel-artists, eBoy, to release the first ever Hef PEECOL. Standing at 3-inches tall, the Hugh Hefner PEECOL is wearing the requisite red robe, ascot and Rabbit Head emblazoned sailor hat. Inspired by eBoy’s innovative approach toward digital art, PEECOL revolutionizes the world of platform toys with the ability to create countless unique characters. The bilateral assembly of PEECOL encourages users to swap one figure’s torso and transplant it on to the legs of another, and another, and another…Miss November 1978 will retail for $60.00 and The Hef PEECOL will retail for $9.95, both will be available at all four Kidrobot locations, kidrobot.com, shopthebunny.com and at select retailers worldwide.
