For those of you that follow me on Snapchat and IG stories @nitro_licious, you already know that the KENZO x H&M launch party officially went down last night at Pier 36 in New York. KENZO and H&M put on a spectacular show directed by fashion legend Jean-Paul Goude. Guests were invited to experience the uniquely vibrant and playful energy of the KENZO x H&M collection designed by KENZO Creative Directors, Carol Lim and Humberto Leon. And to close the night, Ice Cube gave a special performance bringing back some oldies!
To the rhythm of a customized remix of “Express Yourself” by Sam Spiegel, dancers, beatboxers, whistlers and musicians came together to celebrate the beauty and power of individual expression. Through a unique choreography created by KENZO collaborator, Ryan Heffington the show cast presented the KENZO x H&M collection to an audience who experienced an inferno of playfulness, bold prints and vivid colours.
I have to be quite honest, when I first saw the collection sneak peek photos I wasn’t too excited about it. I was thinking may be for once I won’t be going crazy for the collaboration, I was wrong haha. After the show and seeing the pieces in real life at the pop-up shop, it changed my mind. The kimonos and outwear are really amazing and the quality is really good too, love!
The KENZO x H&M collection will be available in over 250 H&M stores worldwide, as well as online, from November 3rd. Check out the video recap below and the every single piece from the collection along with prices here.
