Converse All Star Modern Collection

Tuesday, June 7, 2016by Wendy Lam

For those of you that follow me on Snapchat [@nitro_licious], you’ve already gotten a sneak peek of the new Converse All Star Modern. Converse launched its latest model at Skylight Modern yesterday afternoon, the new silhouette was inspired by the Converse 1920 All Star sneaker and the brand’s heritage in basketball.

With the same comfort as the Chuck II, the Converse All Star Modern collection consists of both the Hi and Ox silhouettes featuring “circular knit uppers and innovative features including Nike Hyperfuse, a contoured full-length Phylon outsole, a TPU-fused overlaid toecap, plus a neoprene split tongue and lining.”

To introduce the collection, a special limited-edition Converse All Star Modern HTM sneaker, designed by HTM, the creative team consisting of Hiroshi Fujiwara, Tinker Hatfield and Mark Parker will be released. Featuring a premium and flexible goat leather upper, and a debossed All Star ankle patch and HTM logo on the heel pull tab, this release marks the first time the HTM team has designed footwear outside of the Nike brand.

The Converse All Star Modern HTM sneaker will be available on Thursday, June 9th for $180 USD, exclusively at NikeLab retail stores worldwide and NikeLab.com, in Black and White colorways.

The Converse All Star Modern sneaker collection will be available on Thursday, June 16 for $140 USD (Hi) and $130 USD (Ox), at Converse retail stores, Converse.com and select pinnacle retailers, in Black, Action Red, Lucid Green, Soar Blue and White colorways.
