I’m sure by now you’ve heard that Kanye West is having a ‘Pablo’ pop-up shop this weekend selling his ‘The Life Of Pablo’ merchandise. The merch was in collaboration with Cali Thornhill DeWitt aka Caramelbobby. I went by the pop-up shop earlier for a preview and it was CRAY! Dope designs!
Unlike anyone else, Kanye has elevated the standards of merchandise design. Matter fact, everything he touches is gold. Following Kanye’s lead, more and more artists are putting more thought into creating more fashionable designs for their tour merch other than just cheaply screen prints on the the front of the tees which I never buy.
There’s a lot of merch available for sale: s/s and l/s tees, hoodies, coaches jackets, bomber jacket, vintage denim jackets, dad hats, beanies, kids l/s tee and hoodie, and Season 1 & 2 Zines. Prices retail from $35 for a beanie to $400 for a vintage denim jacket.
The line right now that is wrapping around the block and across the street at the pop up store – I’m not sure there is anyone else who’s been able to create such an event with their merch release!
