Vans continues to celebrate its 50th anniversary by reinterpreting the coveted checkerboard motif in the limited edition “Checkered Past” collection. I’m seriously obsessed with this handwoven leather checkerboard motif collection! So so dope! Launching through Vans’ premium label, Vault by Vans, this collection consists of a highly coveted 10-piece line-up featuring the iconic pattern in handwoven leather across footwear and accessories. The “Checkered Past” collection pays tribute to this design heritage with a series of Original Classic styles and Leather Checker Bags.

The checkerboard is a sacred emblem in Vans’ 50-year history, appearing on cherished footwear forms since the brand’s family-owned years as the Van Doren Rubber Company to its modern-day status as a global icon in action sports, music, fashion and art.
