This year at Paris Fashion Week, Artistic Director Raf Simons for the house of Dior presented a collection of soft and delicate pieces for Spring/Summer 2016. Emerging from a palette of crisp whites, muted neutrals, and classic black came a fresh lineup of summer tops, bottoms and dresses. Key styles include scallop-edged cotton dresses and shorts, oversized jackets, masculine crop sweaters, and a selection of Christian Dior handbags.
“It’s a calm one, and very soft—away from the overdone. I didn’t want to embellish. So I was thinking about the South of France—rainbows and the simple things. And there’s a bit of Victoriana: something of that film Picnic at Hanging Rock. With a slight sexual undertone of darkness.”
