Jeremy Scott debuted his Spring/Summer 2016 collection in collaboration with Brazilian plastic footwear brand, Melissa. The duo introduced two new styles of plastic shoes, an ankle boot and a mule, as part of Jeremy’s New York Fashion Week presentation. For the show, models wore brightly colored skirts, dress hems, bikinis, and tops made from digitally printed patterns, towering bouffant hairdos, and ’60s inspired eye makeup.

“I’m so excited to have the chance to collaborate with Melissa! I’m a fan of the fun that they put into footwear and I’m honored to be included in the long line of great fashion designers that they have collaborated with over the past 44 years,” said Scott. “It’s been a joy to watch my ideas become translated by their expert team and to be able to bring to life designs that are not only high fashion, but affordable too.”

The MELISSA INFLATABLE MULE + JEREMY SCOTT AD shoes were inspired by inflatable pool toys and even features a rubber mouthpiece used to inflate swim toys on the back heel. The new shoes are available now in Melissa “Galeria” stores in New York, London, and Sao Paolo. The shoes will also be available at high fashion retailers worldwide, including Colette in Paris, 10 Corso Como in Milan, Alchemist in Miami, and Isetan in Tokyo for $180.
