For Spring/Summer 2016, Joseph Altuzarra presented a colorful collection of textured linen dresses and tops during NYFW. The collection conveyed a relaxed and effortless aesthetic as models strutted down the runway wearing dip-dyed and hand painted dresses, burlap coats, gently wrinkled tops and bottoms, and embroidered broderie anglaise dresses. Altuzarra also debuted two new styles of handbags into his Ghianda handbag collection: the ‘Ghianda’ Shoulder bag and tote.
“This season begins as an exploration of my Basque heritage. I was inspired by the inherent beauty of the materials and crafts of the region, and the ease and humility it exuded.” – Joseph Altuzarra
