Introducing the Converse Chuck Taylor All Star II

Thursday, July 23, 2015by Katie Kuang

Converse introduces its all new Converse Chuck Taylor All Star II collection (aka Chuck II), a contemporary variation of the iconic Chuck Taylor All Star silhouette. Since its debut in 1917, the Chuck Taylor All Star has become one of the world’s most celebrated sneakers acting as a symbol of creativity and self-expression. The new collection was designed to provide support and versatile style for the next generation of creative minds and sneaker lovers everywhere.

“The Converse Chuck Taylor All Star II is a sneaker that started with one simple notion: obsession,” said Richard Copcutt, Vice President/General Manager of Converse All Star. “We listened and took it to heart that people love their Chucks and want sneakers that are built to enable them to do more. The Chuck II is the full expression of this consumer obsession, staying true to the DNA of the original.”

The new chucks maintain its original counterpart’s iconic look, while enhancing premium details including the unique white foxing, rubber toe-cap, and All Star patch. The Converse Chuck Taylor All Star II sneaker features a fully embroidered All Star patch, on-trend high foxing, monochrome matte eyelets, and for the first time ever, uses Nike Lunarlon technology for full foot cushioning and additional arch support. Innovative features include a foam padded collar and non-slip gusset tongue for 360-degree comfort, and a perforated micro suede liner for breathability during long periods of wear.

The Fall 2015 Converse Chuck Taylor All Star II sneaker releases globally on July 28th retailing for $70 (ox) and $75 (hi-top) in Black, White, Red and Blue colorways. Be sure to keep an eye out for the release on converse.com.
