Los Angeles-based women’s brand, Wildfox, hosted an event at Il Cortile in NYC’s Little Italy to introduce its Fall 2015 collection entitled, ‘La Dolce Vita.’ The collection was inspired by the idea of escaping winter for a vacation in Italy to spend long, leisurely days painting and exploring the sights, swimming in the sea, and riding Vespas along the breathtaking Amalfi coast. The presentation displayed 22 models highlighting looks in 3 categories of the collection: ‘Il Pastello’ (Pastel Gelato Girls), ‘Cameriera’ (Restaurant Girls), and ‘Vingeto’ (Vineyard Girls). This season’s offerings perfectly captures the air of Italy while staying true to the Wildfox aesthetic.
A range of signature knits, sweaters, intimates and denim pay homage to a country renowned for its art, architecture, culture and cuisine. All-over pizza prints and the classic phrases: “Kiss Me I’m Italian” and “Italians Do It Better,” adorn the collection, as well as bold floral prints and mod graphics. This season also includes a substantially larger offering in sweater styles, ranging from intarsia graphics to emoji-style appliques and cable accents in multicolored yarn. New woven pieces include a mini swing dress, oversized button down shirt and drawstring jogger pants in plaid and rose printed flannel.
Intimate styles for Fall include signature classic pj sets, sleepshirts, cami sets and rompers made of heavenly soft fabrics in wine and charcoal colorways. Intimate separates are introduced and offers a variety of mix-and-match tops and bottoms with playful graphics, teddy bear, pizza and rose prints. Tops include a sporty soft cup bra with a branded WILDFOX elastic trim, strappy crop and ruffle crop camis, and for more coverage, a merrow edge cami. Matching bottoms are the Nolita knickers, lounge pants with a branded elastic trim, and the high waist tomboy briefs.
The fall collection will be available starting in July 2015 at the brand’s Sunset Plaza flagship store in Los Angeles, as well as online at wildfox.com, and select specialty and department stores worldwide. Prices range from $55-$218 for knit tanks, tees, sweatshirts, pants, and dresses, $98-198 for sweaters, $154-$220 for woven tops, jackets and bottoms, $128-$158 for denim jeans, skirts, dungarees and dresses, and $28-$148 for intimates.

“I kept feeling like I didn’t want summer to end. I’d been looking through Slim Aarons’ “La Dolce Vita” and I wanted to slip inside the book and onto the lounge chairs. When you start designing for fall, it’s fun because you can play with knits and jackets, but I find it hard to have to get so dark and cold with colors! I thought about where you could be that fall could feel like a continuation of summer…a permanent vacation.” says Creative Director, Kimberley Gordon.
