Le Feu de L’Eau Luxury Candle Collection

Le Feu de L’Eau Luxury Candle Collection

Thursday, May 8, 2014 by Wendy Lam

I’m a sucker for beautiful and interesting candles, and of course the scent needs to be amazing as well. If the scent is too strong, I’ll get a headache immediately. Candles also make great decor for the home or office, I keep all my unique ones unburnt. I was recently introduced to Le Feu de L’Eau, a fine-art inspired collection of colorful, organic, sculptural candles, featuring bespoke water textured patterns and chic, natural scents. Le Feu de L’Eau, or “The Fire of the Water,” was founded by Los Angeles based creators Jo Strettell, a veteran fashion and celebrity makeup artist, and Wendy Polish, a fine art trained designer.

Le Feu de L’Eau candles don’t come cheap, at $62 a pop, but if you’re looking for something unique, each natural soy based candle is individually hand sculpted under water—so no two are ever alike—using an original high temperature technique. The colors are hand mixed by Polish and Strettell custom blends the fragrances, the candles burn for up to 80 hours.

Available in 10 colors and scents, the latest addition is Le Feu Violet for spring. I’m sure you’ll find something you’ll like in this line. Really lovin’ the pretty colors, must add these to my candle collection. You can pick-up the candles on lefeudeleau.com and anthropologie.com.
