HBO Doll & Em

Last week I was invited to Style Coalition’s lounge for an early private screening of HBO’s new hit series Doll & Em, a British comedy starring Emily Mortimer and Dolly Wells before the national premiere. I was anticipating the screening since I love Emily Mortimer in The Newsroom. Before watching Doll & Em, I didn’t know much about the show, I actually thought it was a reality show but it was really about two real-life best friends as (slightly) fictionalized versions of themselves.

It was definitely a different experience watching a TV show on a big screen and having your blogger friends laughing and discussing the scenes together at the lounge. I totally related to the show because I told my BFF that if one day I need an assistant I would hire her to be with me 24/7. But after watching the show, hiring my BFF for the assistant job may not be such a good idea after all ha! I really liked the quote, “Being best friends was easy. Until it became work.” #SOTRUE

The two episodes that I watched was hilarious, I can’t wait to watch the next 4 episodes! There were also big celebrity cameos like Susan Sarandon and Chloë Sevigny which played themselves in the show.
