Fjällräven Luhkka Cape

Fjällräven Luhkka Cape

Wednesday, December 11, 2013 by Wendy Lam

It’s so cold out in NYC that all I want to do is hibernate at home and watch TV all day long in my warm bed! So I’m always down for an amazing cape but they’re never warm enough for the harsh winters, now I’ve found one! Fjällräven has a ‘Luhkka’ Cape (unisex) that provides optimum protection.

Inspired by the Sami population in Northern Sweden, the Luhkka (translated as “bad weather collar”), features the cape-style silhouette which allows for easy layering and provides distinctive style. A zippered chest pocket and a large, zippered kangaroo pocket allow for quick access to essentials. Button detailing at the wrists helps keep the cape positioned on the body.

There’s two versions, Luhkka ($300) and Luhkka Down ($500) for really bad weather. Colors available are dark grey, red, dark olive, and uncle blue. I’m loving it!
