Opening Ceremony BTW* at SuperPier for NYFW

This New York fashion week, Opening Ceremony takes over the SuperPier with a week-long curation of pop-up shops and activations. The Opening Ceremony BTW* (*by the water) pop ups will cover 19,000 square feet at the southern end of the industrial pier, which will also be the site for Opening Ceremony’s first catwalk show for the Spring/Summer 2014 women’s and men’s collections.

OC BTW will feature select shops and food vendors in refitted shipping containers, providing an interpretation of the SuperPier development which opens in 2015. Shops and vendors will include DKNY Exclusively for Opening Ceremony, Rihanna for River Island, Opening Ceremony, and The Newsstand presented by Alldayeveryday and Lele Saveri; specialty food vendors will include the Dominique Ansel Bakery, ASIADOG, Spur Tree, Scharf & Zoyer, and more. Also featured at OC BTW is an Estée Lauder pop-up salon with famed nail artist Naomi Yasuda. Vendors at OC BTW will be powered by Square to accept credit cards. In addition to the Opening Ceremony market place, SuperPier will also have present bike vendor North Brooklyn Collective, and food vendors Takumi Tacos, Better Being Underground, Cold Process Coffee, and La Sonrisa Empanadas.

The Opening Ceremony shipping container pop-up will debut Coca Cola Designer Drinkware products, as well as Tenga products with packaging inspired by Opening Ceremony’s Spring/Summer 2014 collection. Both the DKNY Exclusively for Opening Ceremony and Rihanna for River Island pop-up shops will feature Fall/Winter 2013 styles from each collaboration collection, exclusive to this location and Opening Ceremony stores in the US.

The OC BTW market place at the SuperPier, located at 15th Street and the West Side Highway in Hudson River Park, will be open from September 5th through the 12th from 11 AM to 7 PM daily. On certain evenings, Opening Ceremony will host “Sunset Takeover,” a musical series featuring a rotation of designers and musical movements on-the-rise.

This sounds so amazing, I can’t wait to see, shop and taste it all!
