Last week before I went to Miami I got my nails did by my talented friend, nail artist Jessica Tong. I’ve known Jess for awhile but never knew she did nails until recently. Jess has a background in art and textile so it’s no wonder she can draw well. I’ve been looking for good nail artists for awhile but haven’t found many to my liking until now. Jess works at Hello Beautiful in Williamsburg two days a week but also practices her skills at home. She is very detailed and patient, so if there’s something specific you want on your nails she’ll do it.
Before I went by, we discussed about what I wanted on my nails. I’m one of those gurls that can’t seem to grow their nails, it always breaks and right now I’m into “stiletto nails” so that was an issue because I didn’t want acrylic tips neither. I also wanted nail art that not everyone did so we brainstormed and came up with drawing Totoro on some of my nails but also wanted to give him some attitude. Jess skillfully built my nails into the length I wanted with Calgel, I was pretty amazed of how strong and well it came out. After that she shaped my nails to my liking and then started painting. We decided to have Totoro art on 3 fingers and the rest gold chains and studding to give it a twist. My nails came out really good, super fun and edgy! I can’t wait to get my nails done again with her!
If you’re looking to get your nails did, definitely go to Jess! For appointments outside of Hello Beautiful and pricing info, you can contact her at firstname.lastname@example.org. Tell her nitrolicious sent ya! <3
