Aside from apparel, Stussy Taipei will also be offering Stussy fans the Japan exclusive, Stussy Livin’ General Store merchandise.
The store is located in the prime-shopping district for streetwear in Dong Qu, Taipei, the shop’s storefront will become the cultural hub for fans to come and chill. To further create an enjoyable experience for the public, Stussy partnered with Costumice Café to sell drinks.
For the grand opening, Stussy invited CLOT’s creative director, Edison Chen, to design the spot items which was inspired by the year of the snake. The design concept is to infuse Chinese element into the everyday Stussy life, dressing a Chinese soul in an American culture, resulting in a perfect blend of the West and the East. The graphics on the spot items are a mix of snake elements and classic Stussy graphics. Spot items feature Snake Skin 8 ball Tee, Snake Skin World Tour Tee, Snake Skull Tee, and Snake Stock Tee.

DRx for STUSSY Taipei
Dr. Romanelli (DRx) spent more than a year’s time coming up with something creatively new for Stussy vintage clothing, creating the one of a kind DRx for Stussy Taipei Capsule Collection. DRx visited the Stussy warehouse and dug out all the vintage clothing he could find suitable for this project, many of which are from the 80’s. Each piece of the collection is like a piece of artwork, creatively meshed together to create a capsule with meaning and brand image. The DRx for Stussy Taipei Capsule Collection will be sold exclusively in the Stussy Taipei Chapter Store.
An Irreplaceable In-Store Experience
Stussy wants to offer its Taiwan fans a complete Stussy experience by bringing them the most authentic Stussy Chapter Store, and an irreplaceable in-store experience. International creative and Lady Gaga’s former creative director, Matthew Williams, will be the creative director for the Stussy China region, which includes Taiwan and Hong Kong.
The Contrast of Raw and Polished, Old and New
Through Matthew Wiliams’ artistic vision, the Stussy Taipei Chapter Store will deliver a Stussy vibe with a unique spin. As an extension of a Stussy culture, the Taipei Chapter Stores sticks to Stussy’s color palette with its classic light colored wood floor. Stretching upwards along the heather grey walls is glossy white acrylic highlighting the soft contrast between the polished ground and the raw, exposed ceiling. Matthew brilliantly infused new materials into an old space, crafting a Chapter Store that very well represent the high-low, luxury meets street culture aspect of the Stussy brand.
