Marc Newson WORKS Book Signing at Taschen

I usually don’t like to go to events on Saturday but G-Star invited me to celebrate the launch of Marc Newson’s limited edition book signing, Marc Newson WORKS, at Taschen. G-Star has been collaborating with industrial designer Marc Newson on the G-Star by Marc Newson collection since 2003, his collection is pretty amazing. The book catalogs all of Newson’s works to date, it’s pretty cool. And besides meeting Marc Newson, Jonathan Ive was also there! Who is he? Jonathan Ive is an English designer and the senior vice president of industrial design at Apple Inc. He is the lead designer of many of Apple’s products, including the MacBook Pro, iMac, MacBook Air, iPod, iPod touch, iPhone, iPad and iPad mini. Um, we all are fans of his right!!

The Marc Newson WORKS Book comes in two versions: Collector’s Edition limited to 1,000 numbered and signed copies, each in a linen-covered slipcase for $1000, and an Art Edition featuring leather marquetry on the cover and a Micarta slipcase designed by Marc Newson and Richard Allan, limited to 100 copies for $6000.
