On Thursday night, Luxottica and the Council of Fashion Designers of America (CFDA), unveiled the “Emma” sunglass for the 3rd annual Design Series for Vogue Eyewear at the Sunglass Hut Flagship in New York City. This year’s designer was Nanette Lepore, she chose Emma Roberts as her inspiration and muse for her sunglass design.
The “Emma” pays tribute to the fashion icons of the past with its classic cat-eye shape and muted cream coloring. Updated with gold appliqué detailing and soft gradient lenses for a modern twist, the frames capture the playful and youthful spirit of the stylish starlet. The limited edition sunglass (only 1200 produced!) retails for $129.95 and is available at select Sunglass Hut stores and Sunglasshut.com.
I stopped by the event to check out the sunglasses (how pretty?!) and also met Emma, she’s sweet. Love the sunnies and the packaging is amazing too. More photos after the jump…
