I’ve been getting a lot of Spring/Summer 2012 fashion videos lately, instead of posting it one post at a time here’s some of it. The videos include: H&M, Agent Provocateur, adidas Originals Blue Collection, Y-3, True Religion, Burberry, Lanvin, Prada and Chanel. Enjoy!
For Spring/Summer 2012, we will see baby colours, a new way of color blocking, silk trousers, pencil skirts, and a dressed, grown up look with a lot of sharp tailoring, according to Emelie Faure; BE Magazine, Natalie Hartley; Instyle Magazine; and Ann-Sofie Johansson, Head of Design H&M.
For Spring/Summer 2012 we will see a modern mix of relaxed tailoring and a sportswear look, in shades of blue and white. One of the key garments of this season is a cropped navy double breasted jacket. This exclusive trend analysis is made by Dan Rookwood, Men’s health, and Ann-Sofie Johansson, Head of Design.
Film 1- The Initiate – February 6th
To celebrate Agent Provocateur’s Spring Summer 2012 collection, Mylene Jampanoï stars in three short films directed by Jordan Scott and produced by RSA films.
The collection of films show a departure from the fierce and overtly sexy world in favour of a softer, more romantic type of erotica. A feminine sensuality rather than unabashed sexuality, inspired by the dreamy mood, colours and romanticismof the collection. Inspired by the iconic films of that era, ‘Emmanuelle’ and ‘The Story of O’, it is a move towards a 70’s come-hither, soft-core approach. A coy innocence that comes over all coquettish and “who me…?”.
There is innocence to all the characters – they are out of reach, but teasing us to come closer; their stories leave you with a yearning nostalgia and the desire to know more.
Film 2 – The Goddess’ – March 1st || Film 3 –The Muse – April 1st
Monday blues take on a slightly different meaning today as we are excited to share the behind the scenes video for our latest Spring/Summer 2012 adidas Originals Blue Collection shoot. Y-3 is pleased to share its Spring/Summer 2012 Communications campaign shot by artist Collier Schorr.
The campaign, titled ‘The Precipice’, styled by Jay Massacret featuring models Valerija Kelava and Harry Goodwins, takes its cue from the experimental city of Brasilia. Collier Schorr’s portraits are collaged with xeroxes of archival Brasilia, to suggest a delicate balance between the body and the many ways it is contained.
Christian Siriano’s Spring/Summer 2012 video campaign shot exclusively at the SOHO GRAND HOTEL in New York City, starring actress Mena Suvari.
The campaign tells a True American story, capturing our brand DNA and heritage. It follows 4 different strong personalities on their journey into the West – The Wanderer, The Maverick, The Bohemian, and The Rebel. We will roll out each persona throughout the season and with each launch will come a new video with footage capture on set of the campaign shoot, shot and directed by the Director’s Bureau. Here’s a look at the Spring 2012 behind-the-scenes of the campaign video.

Some info about the music: 18 year old Bronx, NY-born artist Maxine Ashley first caught the attention of super-producer Pharrell Williams on YouTube. Immediately impressed with her signature sound, soulful vocals with an edgy pop attitude, he signed her to his record label, i am OTHER entertainment. “Cookieman,” written and produced by Pharrell, is the first single off of Maxine’s upcoming debut album.
