Breast Cancer Awareness Month 2011

Breast Cancer Awareness Month 2011

Thursday, October 13, 2011 by Wendy Lam

This month is Breast Cancer Awareness Month and as a woman I support it fully. I’ve received a lot of info via email from brands that created special products for this month and are giving a percentage of the proceeds to help with breast cancer research.

Created by Fergie herself to support Breast Cancer Awareness, the 4 inch hot pink sparkly pump will be available starting October 1 at Fergie Shoes and Brown Shoe Company will be donating $20,000 to Susan G. Komen for the Cure® in connection with this program.

Check out some of it after the jump…

October is Breast Cancer Awareness month and Elizabeth Grant Skin Care is supporting the cause.  During the month of October, Elizabeth Grant International is donating 20% of the online sales from the highly coveted Light Up Your Lips in Sweet Pink to Breast Cancer Awareness programs.

October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month and to show our support, Urban Outfitters, in connection with Alternative’s Pink Ribbon Collection, has donated $60,000 to Susan G. Komen for the Cure®. Since its inception in 1982, Susan G. Komen remains the world’s largest grassroots network of breast cancer survivors and activists. This October, Urban Outfitters joins the fight against breast cancer with the launch of Alternative’s Pink Ribbon Collection. Alternative partnered with the charitable organization to provide a line of fashion basics ranging from a Raglan Tee, Zip-Front Hoodie and a Henley Tee.

In addition, Urban Outfitters continues its philanthropic efforts by partnering with the Young Survival Coalition—the premier global organization dedicated to the critical issues unique to young women who are diagnosed with breast cancer. In memory of Urban Outfitters employee Kristen Martinez, Urban Outfitters stores nationwide will sell the Young Survival Coalition Crop Tee. 100 % of the proceeds will be donated directly to the cause.

The Alternative Pink Ribbon Collection and the Young Survival Coalition Tee are available this October at Urban Outfitters stores and online at Urbanoutfitters.com. With your help, we’re working to put an end to breast cancer. Remember, no effort is too small.
