Slowly shuffling through all the pics taken during NYFW and sorry for the lack of posts. First up, the Miu Miu Musings event on 2.9, hosted by Shala Monroque with André Leon Talley which took place at the Miu Miu store in NYC. It was a great start to NYFW, the intimate event started with an amazing performance by Hahn-Bin and then moved into another room where ALT was waiting on us for a special discussion on Constructive Superficiality.

I can seriously sit there and listen to André Leon Talley talk for hours, he’s so funny and smart. So many interesting things he said that night about his past but these words stuck out when the discussion of Constructive Superficiality started: “Fame is overrated,” “I’m not a fan of Lady Gaga because she wore a meat dress, a prosciutto dress,” “January Jones looks like she’s involved in her dressing and it shows,” and the funniest was “I don’t have access to a private jet…all the time!” It was good times and a very interesting discussion, love the intimate setting.

The good peeps at Miu Miu let me choose some of their Resort 2011 samples to wear but it was a bit too thin for the brick weather in NYC now. Kept the outfit fairly simple in my usual all black but gave it a pop with a cute pink/white striped tank top.
