For this Fall’s New York Fashion Week, YSL will once again release their Manifesto, which is the seventh edition in what has become an iconic publication originally conceived to magnify the field and extend the reach of fashion. The Fall 2010 YSL Manifesto features model Daria Werbowy in the Yves Saint Laurent Fall/Winter 2010-2011 collection and was photographed by Inez van Lamsweerde and Vinoodh Matadin under the creative direction of Stefano Pilati. YSL will have over half a million copies of the Manifesto distributed in the streets of New York, London, Milan, Tokyo, Hong Kong and, for the first time, Beirut. For those in New York for Fashion Week be on the look out on Tuesday September 14th for YSL girls passing out one of 2000 copies which will come in a custom zippered wristlet designed by Pilati (we’ll have twitter updates once we hear of the locations). For the rest of the cities mentioned, save the date for Saturday, September 18th where there will also be 2000 copies with the custom zippered wristlet distributed. The total evolution of this season’s Manifesto, featuring exclusive news and images will be relayed on yslmanifesto.com and participants in and witnesses to the distribution in each city will be invited to submit images documenting the activity for consideration for an online gallery on Facebook and the Manifesto website.
