Nike SB P-Rod IV Launch Party @ Nike Stadium on Bowery

Talk about a great Thursday after-work relax session; Paul Rodriguez, the face of the Nike SB, just launched his fourth signature shoe – the Nike SB P-Rod IV – and pals of his as well as friends of Nike SB were invited to come celebrate with the man of the night. The Nike Stadium on Bowery in Lower Manhattan was transformed into a stand-up bar and lounge, with plenty of great finger-foods and drinks being handed out non-stop; it was tough to distinguish between this product launch party and a night at R-Bar down the block. Some great of wall displays were installed, like the dual-angle billboard that reads P-Rod’s signature from one view and shows a snapshot of P-Rod skating on another angle, as well as a poem written by rapper Nas. His footwear and apparel were also up for display along the entrance as well as a separate room, but most of the attendees were situated on the main event area, mingling with other skaters or catching up with old pals. At the event was P-Rod (of course) and his Nike SB skaters, although it was tough to tell whether they were there for support or looking for a night out of fun in New York City. To cap off the night, Gucci Mane performed and Lil’ Kim made a surprise appearance! There’s a lot to see after the jump so check it out!
