Last weekend I was back to San Francisco for the Nike Athletic Training 2010 Media Showcase, and on day 2 we were brought to Oakland, CA to the doors of a well-known recording studio, The Zoo. It was a perfect fit since lots of creative stuff have come out of this recording studio, just like how Nike has been producing amazing footwear for many years. We were brought on a guided tour by Nike designer, Jeff Rasmussen, through several rooms, each set up with design sketches, mock-up samples (made of cornstarch and glue), dissected sneaker components and best of all a preview of the Nike Training sneakers for Fall 2010.
There were two rooms which represent “Strong” and “Speed,” which were also the driving concepts behind the collection. There were a total of 5 models introduced – Trainer SC 2010, Edge TR, Trainer 1.2, Huarache TR, and Free TR. I’m currently obsessed with the Huarache TR, which I was told will be sized down to boys size! To my male readers, don’t say I don’t ever think of you guys! This post is mostly done for you guys! ;P
Stay tuned for more posts from the Nike Athletic Training 2010 Media Showcase…
