The latest collaboration to release for Topshop this Spring/Summer 2010 is a capsule collection from Meadham Kirchhoff. Designers Benjamin Kirchhoff and Edward Meadham both graduated from Central Saint Martins and firmly established themselves as the new avant garde at London Fashion Week bringing their imitable style to Topshop with a delicately whimsical and melancholic collection of dresses, t-shirts and slips. The color palette consists of nude, navy and black, the collection was influenced by their assistant Erin, whose way of layering eclectic pieces of borrowed, vintage or found items, the collection tries to explore this idea of mixing together different items so that each piece looks great individually or mixed with other pieces from the collection. The collection is quite interesting and I like it but it kinda reminds me a bit of Christopher Kane don’t you think?
Meadham Kirchhoff for Topshop collection will be available online soon and will hit the NY store on May 20, 2010. Prices range from £55 to £300.
