Yup, I’m in no rush to post my opinions of New York Fashion Week Fall 2010 collections. There’s still a bunch of shows I would like to post, and now here’s one of my faves Diesel Black Gold. The debut collection by its new creative director, Sophia Kokosalaki, was sleek and edgy. I really liked a lot of the pieces, the collection was young and sexy but still has the independent rock and roll spirit. The strongest pieces were the the layering and mixing of leather combined with soft and artisanal denim in slim dresses and jumpsuits, velvet (a big trend for Fall 2010) is covered with tulle to create delicate metropolitan looks, and tulle over denim. The studded ankle boots are pretty sick too!
