For spring/summer 2010, 55DSL‘s “Constant Movement” collection was inspired by their favorite subject, the street, bold graphics and bright colors create a distinct metropolitan look for the urban dweller. The women’s collection is divided into three complimentary themes: Casual Cool, Deep Summer and Party Mood. For their denim, a new back label in the shape of a shield and matching flag on the front of the five-pocket style, and a new angel rivet signal fun this season. Destroyed denim in boyfriend fits and new vintage washes add variety to the colored and raw denims.

Casual Cool represents the street, inspired by strong colors and easy to wear separates. Look for street-smart pieces like a boy-fit bomber jacket as well as a double hood and a dip-dyed style in nylon. The parka is revamped in crisp poplin, while classic sweatshirts come accented with an all-over print. T-shirts get the glam treatment with glittery messages as well as chain prints to underline the “movement” message of the collection.

Deep Summer is more feminine with colors ranging from soft pastels to strong checks with a dash of sport to complete the overall holiday feel. Pastels mix with bold brights on dip-dyed nylon jackets. The check print in summery shades on dresses and tops, while muslin dresses and skirts come in fun ditsy floral prints. Crisp poplin returns in biker-inspired pieces, while sweatshirts and jersey t-shirts come in cut and sew color blocking, and long t-shirts can double as sexy mini dresses.

Party Mood is evening-driven with soft fabrics and viscose for stylish body-conscious dressing. Think sexy evening dresses with shiny prints and t-shirts with sequin appliqués! Subtle prints, interlock fabrics, striped and dévoré print jersey, and a cool poncho with metallic accents are perfect night time companions. T-shirts come in various silhouettes and batwing sleeves make a comeback. A foil viscose jersey fabric takes centre stage.
