Since we’re on the top of size issues (my previous post about height), I thought this would be a great chance to post this. I looked through all my emails and combined all the images I got for V Magazine‘s issue #63 which hits newsstands today. Issue #63, “The Size Issue” is celebrating women of all shapes and sizes.
First look is the “COCO A GO-GO” spread featuring international burlesque dancer Miss Dirty Martini shot in the House of Chanel by Mr. Karl Lagerfeld himself, styling by Jacob K. Miss Dirty Martini poses alongside Coco look-alike, actress Jane Schmitt, who once starred as Gabrielle Chanel in one of Lagerfeld’s short films, “Paris-Shanghai: A Fantasy.” Wearing accessories by Chanel and Lagerfeld—along with pasties, cut-out bras, garter belts and stockings—Miss Dirty Martini looks surprisingly right at home in Coco’s Rue Cambon apartment. When asked about why she accepted the invitation to pose for V, Miss Dirty Martini said: “Posing on the Double C’s, modeling like my life depended on it, I thought, ‘Why not? Why can’t designers make fashion that mimics the architecture of hips and busts and then choose models that wear it perfectly?’”
