Asics has had many collaborations with their Gel Lyte III model in the streetwear world but in a surprising twist, Asics has teamed up with Sanrio’s global icon, Hello Kitty. The collaboration has resulted in two different Hello Kitty-inspired Gel Lyte III models to be released later this fall in women’s sizes. One version uses a red upper with a white toe box and mid panel that feature an all-over Hello Kitty print. The shoe also sports a red and white midsole with an additional Hello Kitty pattern on the red heel panel. The other colorway is black and gold with a special “bling” Hello Kitty pattern gracing the toe box and heel section. This version which will only be available at Sanrio Luxe, NYC also sports a solid black midsole and a red lining. Both will come with a special collector’s shoe bag and with the red/white colorway available this September at the Sanrio online shop, as well as at their flagship stores in New York, San Francisco and Hawaii.
