According to WWD, Diesel is expanding its home collection via licenses with Foscarini for lamps and Moroso for furniture. The collection will launch in Europe and the US and new products w ill be “presented in Milan during the city’s international furniture and design exhibition, the Salone Internazionale del Mobile, in April.” The idea of the furniture line is to “dress up” furniture by changing up the fabric whenever you want. The collection will “include different-size sofas, two chairs, two armchairs, two tables, stools, dressers and mirrors” with a rock ‘n’ roll style. For the lamps collection, there will be 16 styles in fabrics, steel or glass and will retail from 200 to 700 euros, or $256 to $897. Sofas will retail from 300 to 4,000 euros, or $384 to $5,125. The collections will be distributed at about 500 wholesale doors and at Diesel stores. “The next step for Diesel is the opening of additional hotels, most likely in Milan and New York. Diesel operates the Pelican in Miami.” For all the people that are into home decoration, here’s another option to look into. Let’s just wait to see how the final product comes out to be, interesting…
