I was recently introduced to a vegan/eco-friendly designer bags company called Matt & Nat, they’ve been around since 1995 but I never knew about them till now! The bags are all made from recycled plastic bottles and depending on the size of the bag the amount of bottles vary.  The designers has lived a vegan lifestyle for years and is one of the first companies to launch an eco-friendly fashion line. They also don’t use any leather and will be phasing out PVC by end of this year and will instead use PU. Celebrity fans include Natalie Portman, Charlize Theron and Ellen DeGeneres who recently featured their bags on her show. These designer bags cost around $300 and smaller items like wallets are approximately $80. Their bags for men and women sell online, in select boutiques including Fred Segal and Holt Renfrew as well as in some dept stores such as Nordstroms, Neiman Marcus, Saks and Bloomingdales.

Cute and affordable bags, and best of all it’s eco-friendly! Can’t believe they’re made out of recycled plastic bottles, seems kinda crazy since we normally just trash out plastic bottles- look what good it comes out to be! Do you like it? Which style(s) is your favorite?
