Converse debuts its premium fall 2008 collections with a new music sneaker collection in continuation of the brand’s 100th anniversary celebration. Each of the unique styles are designed to honor the genres and movements in music and culture that have disrupted the status quo. Key collections include Grateful Dead, Black Sabbath, The Doors, The Who, Ozzy, and Pink Floyd.
The first to release are the Grateful Dead and Black Sabbath (post to come), the Grateful Dead collection consists of two pairs of shoes featuring the two artists Alton Kelley’s and Stanley Mouse’s artwork; Skull & Roses, Europe ’72 album artwork are two of the icon pieces featured. The famous dancing bears round out this amazing collection that includes Chuck Taylor All Star Lo shoes. The shoes in this collection are unisex and retail for $49.99 and will be available in Journeys stores and www.journeys.com.
