Yesterday morning, woke up early to check out the debut runway of Cho Cheng‘s Spring 2009 Collection at The New York Public Library, Astor Hall. Cho Cheng, “named one of China’s top five designers by Modern Weekly, a national Chinese luxury and lifestyle magazine and was also cited as the new master of red carpet glamour.” It was my first time at Astor Hall and when I walked in I felt like I was going to a wedding- it was so beautiful. Placed on guest’s seat is a white rose wrapped around a CHOCHENG silk scarf and a white folder with a run of the show. Sitting front row I got the perfect view of the beautiful lineup of the collection which included tailored suits in silk brocade, evening gowns and cocktail dresses- his detailing is impeccable. His collection is the perfect combination of East meets West, glamourous and elegant. Legendary supermodel Carmen Dell’Orefice made a rare appearance at the show’s finale in a white polka dot evening coat and trousers in wool zibeline, especially made for her! Thanks to Susan for the invitation! Enjoy the show…
